Stand Stronger at Home: Introducing the ADL Wheelchair Leg Press - Home Edition

Building the muscle strength and power needed to stand has historically been a challenge from a wheelchair. As a physical therapist, I've tried individuals pushing against my hand, pressing against a board, or pushing into a large ball to mimic the muscle movements needed for standing. After wearing out my arms and not quite capturing the desired effect from boards or balls, I had an idea for a better way. This spark lead to the creation of the original ADL Wheelchair Leg Press.

While the Press is still an invaluable piece of equipment for building leg strength and power, it wasn't designed for use in the home (though we have had many people purchase it for their home). I am happy to now offer a more affordable version, designed for the home. It is the ADL Wheelchair Leg Press - Home Edition.

The Home Press focuses on the leg muscle strength without breaking the budget. It is portable, which keeps it from taking up too much space in the home. If you are looking for an effective way to build standing strength without having to transfer out of a wheelchair, consider the ADL Wheelchair Leg Press as an option.
